IVF Store Cupboard

Below are some suggestions of things to stock up on before starting IVF so that you always have some nutritious foods to hand.
  • All green foods are helpful to support the Liver function.
  • Dandelion tea: good to help a congested liver, also improves digestion, nettle tea for the blood
  • Green tea: contains catechins which help protect the liver.
  • Essential fatty acids; eating oily fish is also good for the liver.
  • A good supply of nuts and seeds, good for snacks as high protein and good fats.
  • Beans, soya, lentil etc all high in protein
  • Tofu
  • Good supply of chicken stock home made if possible (you can prepare before hand and freeze it).
  • Chlorella, spirulina and whey protein all good non-animal sources of protein, essential for the production of embryos.
  • Oily fish such as mackeral
  • Plenty of leafy green vegetables (organic if possible)
  • Seasonal foods and herbs
  • You will need to drink plenty of water so try to avoid plastic bottles in favor of glass. Try and buy in bulk.
