OUR PHILOSOPHY

We provide an integrated approach to health combining orthodox, Chinese and complementary therapies. With acupuncture underpinning all our treatments we aim to support women through every life stage: gynaecology, fertility planning, pre-conception, IVF support, pregnancy, post-natal and menopausal care. The patient's personal experience of her health is central to how we diagnose. The practitioner works closely with the patient and observes where the disharmony exists and then goes about correcting it through the use of carefully chosen acupuncture points and other supportive methods. This allows us to achieve the best possible outcome for our patients.

Many women are instinctively aware that physical problems can have their roots in emotional difficulties, or that emotional difficulties impact on the physical problem. It is important to take this into account when we diagnose your state of health and decide our approach to treatment.

We recognise that most conditions are multi-factorial; some need conventional treatment but many do not. Given the correct conditions it is our belief that we can often bring the body back towards normal function, thereby alleviating health problems. This is where complementary therapy methods are so effective.

Our extensive experience has given us a unique overview of many different systems of medicine, each of which significantly contributes to a positive therapeutic outcome for the patient. We realise that for advanced health issues Western medicine is often necessary but when the problem is difficult to identify, or relatively minor, natural methods are more appropriate.

Whilst we specialise in fertility, it is important to emphasise that we also treat men and children for a broad range of conditions (see "male fertility" and "children").
