I felt totally supported through my IVF journey; without the love and care I received from Emma and the team, I don’t feel I would have been successful first time...

Welcome

OUR PHILOSOPHY

In our practice we provide an integrated approach, offering acupuncture for fertility, gynaecology and pregnancy advice as well as other supporting therapies. We aim to support women through every life stage.

The patient's personal experience of her health is central to how we diagnose. The practitioner works closely with the patient and observes where the disharmony exists and then provides a complete package of care according to the patient's individual needs. We are medically led, taking the majority of our referrals from medics, but we do accept self-referrals and are also able to refer to medical specialists as appropriate.

Many women are instinctively aware that physical problems can have their roots in emotional difficulties, or that emotional difficulties impact on the physical problem. It is important to take this into account when we diagnose your state of health and decide our approach.

Our extensive experience has given us a unique overview of many different systems of medicine, each of which significantly contributes to a positive therapeutic outcome for the patient. While we specialise in fertility awareness and acupuncture for fertility, it is important to emphasise that we also offer support for a broad range of health conditions, including for men (see male fertility).

The Right Kind of Exercise

This month sees the launch of my collaboration with Tim Weeks. Tim is a Women’s health and fitness consultant who shares my vision for the need for appropriate health enhancing exercise. I am really thrilled to have Tim on board and for us to be able to combine our knowledge for the greater good. Look out for our 'exercise for fertility' tips coming in the next newsletter.

The right kind of exercise, just like the right kind of food, can help support normal female body function and health. Correct exercise and diet form part of the building blocks for fertility and pregnancy. The wrong kind of exercise, just like the wrong kind of food, can be detrimental to a woman’s health and to her fertility and pregnancy.

It has been a breath of fresh air to meet Tim who understands that it is important to women to look good but it is more important for them to be well and healthy.

In this month's Natural Health magazine my column is all about the importance of digestion. "Because the benefits of even the most impeccable diet can be seriously diluted by a faulty digestion."
